After the Lord Buddha had just attained Enlightenment, he had chosen this particular Sutta, out of the 84,000 Dhamma categories, to teach to the five ascetics, who were his former attendants during the time of his asceticism. ดังนั้น...ธัมมจักกัปปวัตตนสูตรจึงเป็นประดุจหัวขบวนจักร นอกนั้นเป็นโบกี้ คือ...ต้อง 1 ก่อนถึงจะไป 84,000 เพราะฉะนั้น...ใครสวดบทนี้ได้ ได้บุญมากๆๆ เลย เป็นประดุจผู้ที่อยู่ในยุคนั้น นั่งต่อหน้าพระพักตร์ของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า...หลังจากที่พระองค์ตรัสรู้เป็นพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าใหม่ๆ The Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta, therefore, acts like the head of a procession. One must start with the first Sutta before continuing on to the remaining 84,000 Suttas. Those who decide to chant this Sutta will received a great deal of merits, akin to sitting in front of the Lord Buddha when he had just attained Enlightenment. ซึ่งบทสวดธรรมจักรนี้เป็นคำสั่งสอนของผู้รู้ ผู้ตื่น ผู้เบิกบานแล้ว จึงจะได้คำเหล่านี้มา มันไม่ใช่ง่ายนะ ใครได้สวดให้ดีใจเถิด สวดเถิดประเสริฐนัก ปลื้มเถิดประเสริฐนัก ท่องเถิดประเสริฐนัก The Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta are the teachings of the knowledgeable, awakened and delighted one. Therefore, the words that form this Sutta do not come about easily. Those who chant this Sutta should feel blissful and joyful. Everyone should chant this Sutta because it is a noble Sutta. ใครสวดบุญเกิด “ทิพยสมบัติ” บนเทวโลกก็เกิดขึ้น มันเป็นบุญติดตัวเรา ซึ่งบุญเป็นบ่อเกิดแห่งสมบัติทั้งหลาย เสียงจะไพเราะ ชาวสวรรค์จะหยุดฟังเลย ชาวสวรรค์จะอนุโมทนาสาธุการ เพราะเป็นปฐมเทศนาที่พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าทรงเปล่งเสียงออกมาจากพระโอษฐ์ ใครได้ยินถือว่ามีบุญมาก ใครได้สวดก็ยิ่งมีบุญมาก Those who chant this Sutta will gain a great deal of merits. Our merit will bear fruit as heavenly prosperity in the celestial world. Merit is the source of all treasures. Our voice will be beautiful. Angels will stop to listen to our chanting. They will be blessed and rejoice in our merits. It is because this is the first sermon delivered by the Lord Buddha, which he had uttered with his own mouth. Anyone who hears this Sutta is considered to be a person with great merit, and those who have the opportunity to chant this Sutta will gain even more merits. เนื้อหาที่พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าเทศน์โปรดปัญจวัคคีย์ไม่ธรรมดานะ ไม่ใช่พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าพระองค์นี้องค์เดียวที่เทศน์ทางสายกลาง แต่พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าทุกๆ พระองค์ล้วนเทศน์บทนี้ทั้งสิ้น แต่จะเทศน์โปรดใครนั้นอีกเรื่องหนึ่ง The content that made up the Lord Buddha's sermon was remarkable. He was not the only Buddha who taught about the middle path, but every Buddha who has ever existed in the past all taught this Sutta for their first sermon as well, although the audience may have varied. มันไม่ใช่ของพอดีพอร้าย มันมหัศจรรย์นะ เพราะกว่าที่พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าจะแสดงธรรมบทนี้ได้ พระองค์ต้องสร้างบารมีถึง 20 อสงไขยกับแสนมหากัปเลยทีเดียว เราจึงต้องมาทบทวนให้มนุษย์และเทวดาทั้งหลายได้ฟัง เพราะกว่าจะได้บทนี้มา พญามารกันหนักกันหนาให้ท่านยืดเวลาตั้ง 20 อสงไขยกับแสนมหากัป This Sutta is not just a typical sermon, but its existence is miraculous. Before the Buddha was able to teach this Sutta, he had to pursue perfections for a seemingly infinite length of time (during which he dedicated his countless lives to discover the truth, and within which he attained Enlightenment in his last life). We therefore have to review it so humans and angels have a chance to listen to it. We should also bear in mind that before the Lord Buddha was able to gain this knowledge, Mara obstructed him by postponing his attainment of Enlightenment for a seemingly infinite length of time. ซึ่งกว่าท่านจะแสดงบทนี้ได้ ท่านต้องสละอวัยวะ ชีวิต ควักลูกนัยน์ตา สละราชสมบัติและทรัพย์ต่างๆ เยอะแยะมากมายแบบนับไม่ถ้วนรวมกัน 20 อสงไขยแสนมหากัป พญามารจึงกลัวมากเลยบทนี้ และในที่สุดท่านอัญญาโกณฑัญญะก็บรรลุธรรม During the Lord Buddha’s path in the pursuit of perfections up until he attained Enlightenment and taught this Sutta to the five ascetics, he selflessly sacrificed his eyes and other bodily organs, and even gave up his life countless times. He renounced his throne and gave up his wealth countless times. This is why Mara is really frightened of this Sutta. After the Lord Buddha taught this Sutta for the first time, his former attendant, Kondanna attained enlightenment. พระบรมศาสดาจะสมบูรณ์ก็ต้องมีพระสาวก มีพระสาวกก็ด้วยธรรมบทแรก คือ “ธัมมจักกัปปวัตตนสูตร” ซึ่งการเป็นพระบรมศาสดาได้ต้องมีนักเรียน และต้องเป็นนักเรียนดีเด่นด้วย คือต้องบรรลุธรรมตาม ดังนั้น...ใครสาธยายบทนี้จะได้บรรลุธรรมอย่างรวดเร็ว แค่รอฟังธรรมบทนี้ปุ๊บก็บรรลุธรรมเลย ให้สาธยายไปเรื่อย ๆ สวดไปเรื่อยๆ เดี๋ยวปุ๊บเข้าถึงธรรมเลย For the Lord Buddha to be considered complete, he must have disciples. After delivering his first sermon, the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta, the Lord Buddha had gained his first disciple. Being a master requires students and these students must be outstanding as well, meaning they must also attain Enlightenment as well. Therefore, those who recite this Sutta will achieve Enlightenment quickly. Those who listen to and chant this Sutta continuously will attain Enlightenment instantly. อุปกาชีวกได้พบพระพุทธเจ้าเป็นคนแรกหลังจากที่พระองค์ตรัสรู้ อีกทั้ง...ยังได้เห็นพระรัศมีของพระองค์ด้วย แต่เพราะเขาไม่ได้ฟังธรรม เขาจึงได้แต่ชื่นชมแล้วก็แลบลิ้นจากไป แสดงว่าแค่เห็นอย่างเดียวไม่พอ ต้องได้ฟังธรรมจึงจะบรรลุ ดังนั้น...ธรรมบทนี้จึงสำคัญ มีอานิสงส์ ทำให้กะทั้งหลาย ทั้งปัญญาธิกะ สัทธาธิกะ วิริยาธิกะ สาวกะบริบูรณ์ก็ด้วยธรรมบทนี้ After the Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment, Upakachevaka was the first person who met Him and even saw the Lord Buddha’s aura. However, he did not listen to the sermon. He only admired it and then walked away. This case teaches us that seeing the Lord Buddha is not enough, one must also listen to the Dhamma teachings as well to attain Enlightenment. Therefore, the Dhammacakkapavattana Sutta is very important. The merits that lead to Panyatika (Wisdom), Satthatika (Faith) and Wiriyatika (Perseverance) are completed by this Sutta.
